The future is often described as something clean. A blank interface. A new language. A room without fingerprints. But music has never moved that way. It carries the friction of every room it has passed through.

At Rico Studios, the work begins with that friction. Tape hiss beside a hard-edged synth. A guitar line that refuses to resolve. A lyric that remembers the person who wrote it before the person became a performer.

Bitter Crown came from that tension: the weight of inherited stories meeting the impulse to break them. The production is loud because the question is loud. What do we keep, and what do we finally let go?

The answer is never a genre. It is a point of view — cinematic, physical, and a little unpolished around the edges. That is the future we are interested in building.
