The story
Widow’s Fire opens when the battle is already over and the river is still red. A mother stands where her kin fell. A hundred deaths speak through her. She walks the fading funeral embers, through the thunder of shattered wheels, and the song will not let the victory start.
The accused is the orchestrator: the one who wove the fateful thread, who held the reins while kingdoms fell, who pulled the strings with cunning words. The lyric puts a Mahabharata figure — the charioteer — inside a Norse hall. Her sons are the wolves of those halls, taken by the fray. Odin’s hall mourns the names. No god is allowed to hide his hand in fate.
The line that holds the track is the one already on the page: “No glory heals what mothers lose.” The chorus is the queen on the red fields, a storm that does not die, and widow’s fire as an eternal flame. The bridge asks the only question the song is willing to leave standing: what price the crown, when all that is left is dust and bone.
Lyrics
Verse 1
In the shadow of the fallen kin where rivers run with crimson tide A mother stands with hollow gaze A hundred deaths now speak through her Their final cries were drowned in steel the proud bloodline torn asunder She walks where funeral embers fade Through the thunder of shattered wheels
Pre-chorus
The orchestrator of the storm the one who wove the fateful thread Now faces wrath born of the void where hope and glory lie dead No words can mend the endless night No glory heals what mothers lose
Chorus
Oh, the queen upon the red fields cries her heart a storm that never dies! Through the ashes of the war god’s game The charioteer must bear the blame! Clans of glory turned to dust No god may hide his hand in fate Widow’s fire, eternal flame Even Odin’s halls now mourn their names!
Verse 2
He held the reins while kingdoms fell with cunning words that sealed their fall The clever one who pulled the strings Now stands beneath a mother’s curse Her sons, the wolves of ancient halls devoured by the endless fray In silence deep, the kingdom weeps for those who’ll never see the day
Bridge
What price the crown, what cost the throne? When all that’s left is dust and bone The weaver of destinies now sees the mirror of his own decrees No mercy in the gods’ cruel jest the hall of ancestors laid to rest
Outro
Oh, the queen upon the red fields cries her heart a storm that never dies! Through the ashes of the war god’s game The charioteer must bear the blame! Clans of glory turned to dust No god may hide his hand in fate Widow’s fire, eternal flame Even Odin’s halls now mourn their names!
