Notes from the road between songs

The spaces between releases are not empty. They are where the next sound learns how to speak.

There is a particular kind of quiet after a song leaves the studio. It is not relief. It is the moment the work stops belonging only to the people who made it.

The road between songs is made of small observations: a rhythm in a train crossing, a sentence overheard in a café, the way a city changes colour just before rain. These details become useful later, when a blank session needs a pulse.

A journal is a way to keep those fragments close without forcing them to become songs too quickly. Some ideas need time to remain unfinished.
